MEMBERSHIP
The Brecon Jazz Festival Stakeholder Group is comprised of local strategic representation. It is attended by officers from Community Regeneration (Powys County Council) and the Arts Council of Wales. The group allows additional individuals to attend meetings, particularly when items of business are to be considered where it could be beneficial to draw on the expertise of individuals other than those on the Group.

PURPOSE
The purpose of the Brecon Jazz Stakeholder Group is to provide a strong local input into the process of identifying and supporting the Festival operator(s) and to ensure that the Brecon Jazz Festival achieves real community involvement. The Stakeholder Group is a consultative forum, not a decision-making body.

RESPONSIBILITIES
This voluntary group is responsible for:-
• sharing information and ideas relating to Brecon Jazz Festival and its future sustainable development;
• informing potential considerations to be factored into the brief and timetable for the appointment of future operator(s) of Brecon Internation Jazz;
• providing a local forum throughout the process of putting in place an operator, the operator mounting a Festival, and beyond the Festival, offering perspectives on the success or shortcomings of Festival delivery;
• being a forum for galvanising local inputs that can ensure aspects of the sustainability of the future of the festival.

FREQUENCY OF MEETINGS
The Brecon Jazz Stakeholder Group meets as and when required in agreement with members.

ARRANGEMENTS
Meetings are jointly led and managed by the Arts Council of Wales and Powys County Council who ensure the running of the meetings and provide notes of actions to both the Stakeholder Group and the Steering Group. All members attend meetings prepared to feedback as to their organisation’s views on issues under discussion. Any member unable to attend a meeting may arrange for an appropriate nominated substitute with sufficient authority to attend provided the Chair is notified in advance.

REPORTING
The transmission of information to members of the group is the responsibility of the Community Regeneration Service of Powys County Council.

SPONSERS CLUB
Local businesses and organisations have the opportunity to join together as a syndicate to support this unique local and international festival as members of the Sponsor Club managed by the festival operators.
Supporting the festival through the Sponsor Club provides access to a wide range of benefits, not least of which is the knowledge that they are helping to secure the future of the festival for the people and town of Brecon.
